INGREDIENTS
Apple Filling:
- 150 g / 1 apple, diced
- 30 ml / 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Crumble Topping:
- 30 g softened butter or coconut oil
- 30 ml / 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 40 g / 4 tbsp rolled oats
- 25 g / 3 tbsp oat flour or flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp chopped walnuts
- Optional: Vanilla ice cream
RECIPE
1. MIX in a small bowl, combine the crisp topping ingredients until they form a dough-like consistency. Set this mixture aside.
2. MIX in a separate bowl together the diced apple, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and lemon juice until the apple pieces are fully coated.
3. POUR the apple filling into a small oven-safe dish.
4. SPREAD the prepared crisp topping over the apple filling.
5. PLACE the dish in the air fryer and cook for about 10-13 minutes or until the topping begins to brown.
6. ONCE the crisp is nicely browned, remove it from the air fryer.
7. SERVE the apple crisp with a scoop of ice cream and pinch of cinnamon if desired.
