FAQ AIR FRYER
An air fryer is essentially a compact convection oven that cooks food using hot air. It employs a powerful fan to circulate hot air, allowing for quick, healthy cooking with a crispy texture. Similar to a deep fryer, an air fryer also features a removable food basket. However, the key distinction lies in the cooking method: a deep fryer uses hot oil, whereas an air fryer relies on rapid air circulation.
You can prepare a wide variety of dishes and recipes using an air fryer, making it a versatile kitchen appliance. Whether you’re craving French fries, fried pork chops, salmon, onion rings, potato wedges, cakes, bread, or fried chicken, the possibilities are endless. An air fryer can handle it all, from savory to sweet.
The main difference lies in the cooking method: an air fryer uses hot air to cook all types of food, while a deep fryer relies on hot oil. While you can use small amounts of oil in the air fryer, we recommend brushing it onto the food instead of pouring it into the basket.
Like all new appliances, you need to learn how to use an air fryer. Here are some common mistakes that many people make initially:
- Not using the preheat function. Although this is an optional step, it helps to warm up the machine before use.
- Overloading the baskets, which prevents food from cooking evenly because the air can’t circulate around it.
- Not washing the baskets after each use.
Yes, it’s possible, but there are some considerations. Frying with a wet batter may not work as well in an air fryer compared to a deep fryer because the food isn’t instantly submerged in hot oil. As a result, the batter might not adhere as well. To improve results, we suggest coating the food with flour after applying the wet batter; this helps the batter adhere better to the food.
Yes, absolutely! You can bake all the same goods in an air fryer that you would in an oven. However, keep in mind that an air fryer will bake faster, so you’ll need to adjust the time and temperature compared to a regular oven. The temperature and cooking time will typically be lower in an air fryer. For more guidance on converting recipes, refer to the recipe booklet included in the package.
Yes, you can use baking paper and foil in an air fryer. However, we recommend cutting the baking paper to fit the food basket. If it sticks up too much, it could potentially come into contact with the heating element, which might create a burning smell.

….I’m only just getting to know this beast – but I’m really liking it so far. It’s a pity that they are called air fryers as they are really mini convection ovens – I appreciate that “mini convection oven” or MCO doesn’t trip of the tongue or stay in the brain the same way as Air Fryer does. Whatever you want to call it, it’s saving me either quickly-ish heating a double convection oven or slowly heating a smaller conventional oven at least once a day (the main saving is likely to be stopping my husband heating up the double oven to to heat up 3 sausage rolls) I think I’ll recoup the initial outlay!
The wifi is useful – it tells you when things are done so you don’t have to hang around in the kitchen (but then so does a bleeping oven timer…) and was easy to set up. It also tells you to “enjoy.” – hmmmm
I’ve tried a few of my usual oven type meals and they have all come out really well and didn’t take so long). Good old faithful roast chicken (just under 2kg) (with yorkshire pud) was probably the most moist chicken I’ve ever cooked and I’ve been turning out pretty good chicken for quite a few decades! The Yorkshire pud for two people was just right (I like a soft base for gravy absorbing purposes but if you like a crispy one just turn it over for a moment or two!) and was cooked while the chicken was resting.
Jacket potatoes started in the microwave and finished in the AF were pretty good – better if I didn’t (as some advised doing) rub them with oil. About 20 mins gave a happy husband level of crispyness – personally I prefer them more crunchy – if I was that bothered I’d have left it in for longer.
Quicky cheat food – like co-op tempura prawns for the days when you need a crunchy, munchy “something” are about as good as it gets: super crispy without drying out and faster.
Pork loin chops without the bone – blindingly fast and tender.
Stuff in tin trays – great – as long as there’s air space around the tray and you don’t scratch up the non-stick surface.
Stuff in wooden cook in the tray containers I transferred to a different dish as the beast has two heating elements and the wooden tray might be just that bit too close t the top element. I might be being over cautious.
The Cosori info suggest that it’s good for 4 to 6 portions/people. Hmmm, that depends on what you’re cooking and the size of appetite. If you were doing, for instance, southern fried type chicken and wanted more than 1 thigh each you would be doing 2 batches – you’d probably only get 4 to 5 thighs in the basket.
The recipe book gives you a few ideas to start you off but is quite Americancentric (although weights and measures are metric) – the Cosori UK – live life tastefully FB page is far more useful (Glenn Adams for useful tips, times and yorkshire pud recipe). There’s also a ton of information on youtube that’s worth look.
Over all it cooks things faster without having to heat up a load of unused cooking space.
The drawer/basket is a doddle to clean – either by hand or in the dishwasher – as it’s non-stick and for the oven cavity a quick wipe around with a damp cloth when it’s cooled works well. I’ve tipped it on it’s side/upside down to wipe the top element area as it could get quite greasy.
The bottom line is that I’m very happy that I’ve bought it and I don’t feel that it’s going to be one of those gadgets that ends up gathering dust and not living up to the hype.

I laid two frozen fish steaks in breadcrumbs on basket base without crisper tray in. This left plenty room to lay frozen chips in beef dripping flat on base, enough for two generous portions. Set to Air fry twenty minutes and almost all of them were browned on all four sides, crispy – crunchy outside and soft inside. Fish crispy too. Very pleased with finish with no turning or need to peep inside basket before end. I’m amazed that the simple idea of a bottom element along with top element wasn’t done before. Well done Corsini!

It’s brilliant. And so easy to clean. Read instructions. Follow other air fryer people and see what the make. One little minus is if you bake puff pastry chicken parcels or sausage rolls you have to turn them over and I don’t really like having to open drawer and do it. But it’s necessary as there is no element underneath. It’s great for reheating, a dream. But Frozen stuff cooks so easy. You can take drawer out and shake it (especially if it’s chips).
When we have chips from chip shop there are always loads left. A few days later pour them into the basket 200°C for 6 to 7 minutes, shake halfway. If we have sliced garlic bread add them for last 4 minutes. All so good. If you have cooked sausage rolls left in fridge and want to reheat them give them 3 minutes and they are like freshly made. I highly recommend this one.

it works very well, glad I bought it

I was unsure if I should buy an air fryer. My fears were eliminated once in use. It takes a few goes to get used to times of the cooking. When cooking two things together, like fish and chips, I make a foil bag to put the fish in. I’m now wondering if I should have purchased one with two compartments!!

A fab air fryer, my first one..a nice roomy tray.
I bought liners for it so haven’t had to wash up the tray yet. Easy to use, the preset functions are handy. I did steak in it for medium rare 6 mins and it came out perfect. The chips were delicious too!
A really good buy don’t hesitate.

This is the best thig we ever bought for the kitchen.
It has changed the way we cook, shop and live – it’s brilliant.
We had a few problems at the start but this was just a case of learning how to use a new implement, just like buying a microwave if you had never used one before.
So far we have enjoyed better food, saved money both shopping and in electrical usage and had more time to enjoy ourselves as the cooking time is vastly reduced.
I would recommend this to anyone looking to enhance the food they eat and save money doing so.
The best thing since sliced bread.

It’s been a while since I felt compelled to write a review but I have to let the world know how awesome this product is. I’ve never had another air fryer so I have nothing to compare it to but this one is excellent. Easy to use, easy to clean and I use it everyday for everything. I don’t remember life before it and I never want to experience life without it. I will air fry forever everyday until I die 😝

Nothing to fault – simple to set up and use, comes with useful guidance and recipe book, particularly prefer the square basket/tray that is more space efficient and practical compared to circular designs, and nice design. Cooks really well. Also excellent customer service from Cosori in helping out with an issue (an accident down to me not a fault).
